Finding African solutions for African challenges
WHO WE ARE
Shift Impact Africa Group is a pan-African, women-owned Shared Value and ESG advisory, business development, and consulting enterprise. As the sister organization of Shared Value Africa, an advocacy and training entity, we form a dynamic partnership dedicated to advancing the Shared Value Business Management Concept across the continent.
Our mandate is to advocate, influence, and empower private sector organisations to embrace strategies that profitably address Africa’s societal and environmental challenges. By integrating Shared Value principles into core business operations, we help unlock opportunities for sustainable growth and impact.

We guide businesses to create value for all stakeholders by addressing material challenges that may hinder growth. Through impactful strategies that combine purpose and profitability, we champion the belief that businesses can generate economic value while delivering meaningful benefits to society.
Creating Shared Value is not just a strategy—it’s the most authentic and transformative business practice. It leverages core business disciplines to drive societal and environmental progress while ensuring prosperity for all.
From addressing social challenges like access to medicines, financial inclusion, and self-determined employment opportunities, to innovating solutions for environmental issues like recycling plastics or adopting renewable energy sources, Shared Value practices provide businesses with pathways to innovate, compete, and create impactful, profitable, and sustainable enterprises.
What does it mean to create shared value?
Creating shared value is a competitive business strategy that reconnects profit with purpose by addressing social and environmental challenges through core business operations.
It shifts the focus from shareholder capitalism to stakeholder capitalism, emphasising that business success depends on the well-being of all stakeholders. When stakeholders thrive, businesses thrive.
Businesses are deeply intertwined with society and the environment. Social and environmental factors influence how people interact with products and services, how they choose to spend, and how they perceive brands—especially in today’s hyperconnected world.

With finite natural resources, sustainable practices are not just ethical but essential for long-term success.
By tackling societal and environmental challenges that also impact business—such as infrastructure gaps, energy reliability, and supply chain inefficiencies—Shared Value offers a blueprint for creating innovative, sustainable, and market-expanding strategies.
Adopting Shared Value and an ESG approach requires businesses to rethink how they operate—finding ways to be more efficient, innovative, inclusive, and environmentally responsible. This shift fosters long-term sustainability by focusing on all stakeholders, not just shareholders, ensuring benefits for employees, communities, and the broader value chain.
